HAND PAINTED

We’re so excited to introduce the first designs in our latest collection: hand painted torah covers. These artful creations fill a void in currently available torah cover designs. As with all of our other work, these one of a kind paintings can be customized to your sanctuary’s interior design and colors.

The varied and unique painting techniques can look like a beautiful watercolor, or a bold abstract. The base fabric of these covers is a durable and luminous upholstery fabric. This fabric shimmers like silk, but is much more durable, and will stand up to use better than fragile silk.

The paints are permanent, made for fabric and are UV resistant. When these torah cover paintings are commissioned, we will provide a black line drawing, along with a paint-out of your chosen color palette. Upon your approval of these two items, a small color sketch will be sent for your approval. (The sketch only suggests the intended color placement. It cannot show the intricacy and detail of the very much larger torah cover’s painting.) Then, we’re ready to create! When ordering this type of torah cover, there must be an understanding and allowance for fantastic serendipity!
